When will the Relaire plushes ship?
I estimate around 4-6 months from now (July 2024), once preorders close and I transmit the final order to the manufacturer. They will need to be mass-produced, bulk-shipped from China to my house, and then I will be manually packing and sending them all out myself! I'll update this FAQ when I have more info on shipping times.

Can I place a group order to save on shipping costs to my country?
Yes! Please contact me via the contact form on this site or at [email protected] to arrange for group orders.

My shipping address may change between now and when the plushes ship. What should I do?
Don't worry about the shipping address that you use for the preorders - I didn't want to ask for a shipping address at all in the preorder stage but Big Cartel requires it. When the full orders for the plush go live on this site, everyone will have a chance to update their shipping address. And you can always reach out to me via the contact form on this site or at [email protected] with any shipping concerns!

Why did you limit the number of preorders to 185?
I will be manually packing and shipping these orders myself, so I'm limiting the quantity to an amount I can reasonably handle. If the plush sells out quickly I'll consider doing a second round of orders after this one is done. 

Why can I only preorder one plush?
This is a fan project with the goal of making a low-cost Relaire plush available to everyone who wants one. Limiting the number of plushes one person can buy helps prevent people from buying them in bulk to resell at a profit.
Additionally, I can't scale the preorder discount code according to how many you buy (ie there isn't an option on Big Cartel to send a discount code for $10 instead of $5 if you preorder 2 plushes), so limiting it to one per person is simplest.

Is this a for-profit project?
No, this is a fan project to make a low-cost Relaire plush available to fans who want one since there isn't an official Relaire plush. I am pricing the plushes to cover the costs associated with producing them, including design, production and shipping from the factory in China, packaging materials (shipping bags and labels) and payment processing fees charged by PayPal and Stripe. 
I won't be making any profit off of the plushes, nor will I be compensating myself for the time spent on this project. It's truly a labor of love! There's a good chance I'll actually be losing money on this project if I don't sell all of the plushes that I order from the manufacturer.
If I do somehow end up with any profit at the end of the project, I'll be donating it to Inori-sensei, the creator of WataOshi and Relaire.
